Combat battalion
Offers an account of the men of a particular Australian infantry battalion-- the Eighth Battalion-- in combat in Vietnam from November 1969 to November 1970, at the height of the Australian commitment there. It aims to provide soldiers' witness and examines behavior in combat, effects of friendly fire on unit morale, and patterns of discipline among soldiers.
