Sir Jervis, taking to his annual holiday deathbed, demands the attendance of his family. Unfortunately, he is the only one in a celebratory mood. Daughter Audrey, a lovely widow with two grown stepsons, is in financial despair and quite unsettled by the presence of her niece Regina's fiancé, Lord Elliott . . . who in turn is aware that his betrothed is still enamored of Audrey's stepson, Larry . . . a war hero determined to win back his true love.
