Macbeth
Macbeth is a tragedy of human character, showing the cosmic struggle of good and evil played out in a kingdom and in the arena of the human soul. Good triumphs in the kingdom (an important part of the story) but loses in the soul. The power of Macbeth is due, apart from its artistry, to its biblical background of thought.
