Raymond Seitz was the first career diplomat to be appointed American Ambassador to the Court of St. James. He served as minister at the London embassy. Between his years in London and those spent in Washington, D.C., Seitz gives the reader an "affectionate snapshot of the things which separate and bind our two nations (Jacket)."
