This book illustrates eight recent large-scale projects by Brian Clarke, a pioneering British artist whose primary mediums are stained glass and mosaic, and who has collaborated with the leading architects of our time. Ranging from a massive commercial shopping space in Rio de Janeiro to the lobby For Pfizer corporate headquarters in Manhattan, the works in here provide a compelling overview of the range and bold conception behind Clarke's art. Essays by architect Sir Norman Foster, who calls Clarke "a gothic modernist, " and Susanne K. Frantz, curator of 20th Century Stained Glass at the Corning Muslin, compliment this lavish monograph.
