Quartet
Set in Bengal at the turn of the century, this novel, originally published in Bengali in 1916, is a story of conflicts between reason and emotion, mysticism and passion. The author, a prolific writer and artist, won the 1913 Nobel Prize for Literature, and has been described as "the Indian Goethe."
