A new gang of Virals, infected with an altered strain of supervirus calling themselves Trinity, rises to challenge Tory Brennan and the Morris Island gang for control of Charlston. Tory and her companions continue to investigate the experiment that scrambled their DNA, even as Trinity attacks them out of hiding in plain sight. Then, a secret government agency, trying to uncover the Virals' secrets, reveal the shocking truth about their cellular evolution.
