Throwing away the key
This report is based in part on research conducted in Jordan and Syria in July and August, 1992 by the Schell Fellow. The report would not have been possible without information provided by recently released prisoners, families of current detainees, Syrian and Palestinian human rights monitors, and lawyers representing defendants before the State Security Court.
