Twisted
In Twisted, Carl Adam Richmond chronicles fifteen years as a dopefiend from grade school through college and beyond. He shares the grisly details of a sordid existence that witnessed his trade-off of everything sacred to his middle-class roots in pursuit of marijuana and alcohol, then prescription narcotics, finally heroin and cocaine - shooting up in gas station bathroom stalls, tormenting himself and his family and friends who want more than anything to believe that an addict can kick his habit.
